When someone tells you you’re full of it…they aren’t joking. You are…full of bacteria in your colon!  Current estimates are that there are ten bacteria for every living cell in our bodies.  The current estimate of human cells in total in the average person is 30-40 trillion cells!  So we’re looking at upwards of 400 trillion bacteria in our colons and more that 2000 identified species of bacteria!!  And, believe it or not, they are not only important…they are absolutely essential to life and health.  From benefits with metabolizing blood sugars, brain health, immune function, diminishing inflammation and cardiac health these little travelers in our guts are critical and a very welcome guest.  We’ll dive into this in today’s program.
