Recent research is demonstrating that being fit (a high cardiopulmonary fitness it’s called!) can significantly reduce our risk of lung and colorectal cancer. Seriously. Many cry, “It’s all in our genes” “If you have everybody in your family with it, you’re doomed’! Well….this is one of many pieces in a puzzle that shows that’s just not the case! We aren’t slaves to genetics and who our families happened to be! Just as other activities like frequent antibiotic use can increase our risk of colorectal cancer, movement and other great, healthful actions can dramatically reduce our risk of disease! We’ll grapple with this great news in today’s program!
