Dr. Timothy Terlep
Dr. Terlep has practiced and lived in Hernando County for twenty five years. He and his wife, Shelly, found the beauty and allure of Hernando County’s gulf coast locale irresistible. Having completed undergraduate studies as a Hurryin’ Hoosier at Indiana University, he received graduate training at the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic and his doctoral degree in 1988. Post-doctoral studies in functional neurology became an area of extensive training and a focus of care through the years. Dr. Terlep has maintained a commitment to a focus on the causes and correction of the many conditions which the offices sees as well as bringing relief from the symptoms which those conditions create. With the acceleration of advanced technologies in the last many years, incorporating those technologies to accelerate healing and improve clinical specificity has been a passion of Dr. Terlep. It is due to this passion the office utilizes the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools available.
Dr. Terlep and his wife have born and raised three daughters in Hernando County. He is actively involved with the local medical community, a member for the Florida Chiropractic and American Chiropractic Associations, an avid supporter of the local YMCA and its many programs for the community and a member of the Hernando Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Ryan Stookey
Dr. Ryan Stookey was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2008, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the world renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic. After graduation, he spent five years practicing in the Blue Ridge Mountains but he and his wife heard the siren song of the Gulf and couldn’t pass the opportunity to relocate to the Nature Coast in the summer of 2014.
Dr. Stookey found his calling as a doctor of chiropractic after experiencing firsthand the benefits that chiropractic care provided. Initially, as a teenager, he enjoyed great improvement and control of his asthma. This afforded him the opportunity to participate at a high level in all the athletic endeavors he loved. He always possessed an interest in the health care yet it wasn’t until midway through his undergraduate studies that he made the decision to pursue training as a chiropractic physician. This came about as direct inspiration from his treating chiropractic doctor and the great results achieved in his health. The concept of facilitating the health of others – without drugs or surgery – continues to motivate and inspire his practice today.
Dr. Stookey’s post-graduate training is in Injury Prevention, Performance Enhancement and Corrective Rehabilitation. He has undergone extensive training for correction of disorders involving both the upper and lower extremities. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and completed his Performance Enhancement Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which has led to him working with amazing athletes of all ages throughout his career.
Dr. Stookey can be found with his wife Desiree on the beach, listening to music, exercising, golfing and exploring all that the great outdoors of the Gulf Coast has to offer.
Dr. CARRIE M. COLEMAN
Dr. Carrie Coleman was born a
Dr. Coleman fell in love with chiropractic in the Air Force when she began seeing a chiropractor for her migraines. Her migraines went away but her allergies and sinus trouble cleared up as well. Once she heard the philosophy of chiropractic, she knew that being a Doctor of Chiropractic was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
When asked what she loves about being a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Coleman will share her favorite chiropractic success stories. One is about a patient that came into her office in a wheelchair and after a few weeks was able to walk on his own. She will also share her passion for Pediatric Chiropractic. In fact, she has her fellowship in the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Dr. Coleman loves that she gets to help children live a healthier life from the start and prevent chronic problems with lifetime chiropractic wellness care.
Dr. Coleman’s philosophy, as a doctor, has always been to care for her patients as if they were her own family. She takes pride in being a very thorough physician with a very caring touch.
She has been married to her husband and best friend, Philip, for over 25 years and together they live an active lifestyle; wakeboarding, surfing or mountain biking. Not only is she a US Airforce Veteran,
Nicole Demas, ARNP
Nicole was born and raised in Massachusetts. Not being a fan of cold weather and snow, she relocated to Florida with her childhood best friend after high school to attend college. She graduated with her first Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2006. After working in the business field, she eventually returned to college to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. In 2011, she graduated Cum Laude with her second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from South University. She began her Nursing career at Tampa General Hospital and worked primarily with a Neurosurgical and Neurological patient population. She truly enjoyed working as a bedside nurse. She was the recipient of a Daisy award, which was awarded by patients for her excellent care. Also during her tenure as a Registered Nurse, she became faculty at South University and helped to prepare nursing students in the clinical setting at a local Tampa hospital.
Nicole learned early in her Nursing career that the field of Nursing is so very dynamic, she would eventually like to advance her education to provide the best quality care for her patients. In 2015, Nicole subsequently received her Master’s degree in Nursing from South University with an emphasis on Family Practice. She began her career as a Nurse Practitioner working in an outpatient spine surgery facility. There she developed an extensive knowledge base of the spine as well as evaluating and treating common spinal disorders. She later went on to work in the hospital after joining a hospitalist group which provided Internal medicine services in a local hospital. She enjoyed the challenges of working as a hospitalist including diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic conditions.
On her days off, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family. They enjoy activities such as the beach, fishing, and boating.
Cynthia Sierra, MPT
Cindy was born and raised in Miami, FL. She graduated high school with honors, already knowing her desired career path and what she has come to know as her calling. Having studied diligently at Florida International University in Dade County, she graduated with her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2003 at the young age of 23. Cindy’s exposure to a broad array of physical problems and rehab needs began at a thriving outpatient clinic in South Florida. With extensive exposure and profound community needs, Cindy remained at that facility for 14 years. As her two daughters began to get older, she and her spouse made the decision to move away from the bustle of urban life. It was then decided to make the big move to the central Gulf coast, leaving the big city behind to give her girls a more peaceful life.
Cindy enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Eddie, and their two girls, Mila and Emily. They love taking part in outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, fishing and riding ATVs.
